Several weeks earlier, Lucyna and her twelve-year-old daughter Anna took in a Jewish woman from Warsaw and her teenage son. The refugees most likely used forged documents, because they lived openly at Radziejowska&#8217;s house, though they never left the premises. The neighbors did not pay any special attention to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the beginning of July 1943 German gendarmes entered Radziejowska&#8217;s home. After a short interrogation, the Germans took the Jews and Lucyna. The circumstances surrounding the death of the Jewish family are unclear.
